Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By having lessons with me, you accept all of the following.

The following terms are for your protection and security, and to ensure the sustainability of my business. They benefit both the instructor and the client, and must be adhered to.

Please allow 48 hours to cancel or change lessons. Lessons cancelled within the 24 hours prior to your lesson will be charged for, or deducted from any prepayments or ‘block bookings’

Block bookings or prepayments are non-refundable and must be used within 6 months of purchase

Your driving instructor will not be held liable for any losses occurring as a result of mechanical breakdown or any other issues with the training vehicle

In the event of mechanical breakdown or other issue with the training vehicle, your driving instructor will do everything possible to obtain a replacement vehicle or get the vehicle repaired as soon as possible

Your driving instructor will not be held liable for any losses occurring as a result of not being able to conduct lessons due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, bereavement, traffic issues, severe weather or industrial action 

Your driving instructor reserves the right to refuse training if there is reasonable suspicion that anyone intending to drive the vehicle may have consumed any alcohol or drugs in the 24 hours prior to the lesson

Your driving instructor reserves the right to refuse training if he/she feels that the client’s driving poses a significant risk to our safety, or the general public, or if little or no progress is being made

Your driving instructor reserves the right to refuse use of the training vehicle for the practical driving test if the client has not achieved a high and consistent standard of driving in all conditions. I may refuse use of the car for driving tests booked without my consent or knowledge

Any damage caused to the training vehicle while being used for a driving test is the responsibility of the candidate taking the test. This includes any repairs, insurance excesses and loss of earnings incurred by your driving instructor until a replacement vehicle has been obtained

Any fines or endorsements, such as parking fines, bus lane infringements, speeding offences or other driving offences are entirely the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle at the time the offence was committed  

The client must notify the instructor immediately in the event of any changes to health or to their licence. This includes any medical condition which may effect their ability to drive, or any endorsements or points added to their licence

Your driving instructor will make every effort to keep appointments for driving lessons, and will start and finish lessons at the agreed times

Your driving instructor will act in a professional manner and deliver high quality tuition throughout your training

The tuition vehicle will be in a clean and presentable condition for lessons and for the driving test

The tuition vehicle will be kept in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times, and will be serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines

Your instructor will offer help and support in all areas of your training, including preparation for theory tests

Data protection statement

In order to provide driving lessons, I will need to keep some information securely on my mobile devices and home computers. This information is used solely for the purpose of keeping up to date contact information and keeping records of your training.  I will also keep text message streams and email conversations, as well as electronic communication from Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, or any other social media platforms 

I will only contact clients for the purposes of arranging driving lessons and/or driving tests. I will not send any marketing information from my own business, or from any others

The information I keep is protected by passwords and/or pin codes, and is encrypted on secure backups using Apple’s two stage verification system

I will never share any information with any 3rd parties, unless you have given explicit consent for me to do so

A 2-channel dash cam is fixed to the training vehicle for the purpose of insurance. Footage from the training vehicle’s dash cam is overwritten every few hours. Footage is captured from window-mounted cameras which only record video out of the front and rear windows. During lessons, camera’s microphone is on and capturing audio. During driving tests, the microphone will be and must be muted.

If any footage captured is to be saved for training purposes or as evidence in the event of a collision, I will contact any clients who were driving the vehicle, or who’s image or voice has been captured

With your consent, I may ask if you would be willing to have a photograph taken after passing your test to post on my various social media channels
